Dear friends, please help us to combat against LIGHTNING which is killing people NOW.
Greetings to you from my family and the Children & staff of Hands of love Orphanages & Schools.
For the last 2 weeks, Uganda has been struck with Lightning catastrophe. Around several schools and villages, many children, students and adults have been reported dead. It is indeed very painful that on top of the terrible financial crisis that we are facing presently in Uganda, with many more families going without food, LIGHTNING has added on this! The HIV/AIDS pandemic as you already know has struck us enough, with the HIV infections increasing every day, more deaths reported and of course the number of homeless orphans increases on the streets.
As a measure to combat our precious children at Hands of love Orphanages & Schools from being struck with LIGHTNING, we have an urgent and big need of buying LIGHTNING ARRESTERS as soon as possible.
As a measure to save the school children in Uganda, the ministry of education and sports has passed a policy that every school/ centre for children must put this in place not later than this July month of 2011.
We need to put in place 5 lightning arresters as follows:
- 1st at Hands of love Orphanage & School Namadhi ( the Nursery & Primary section)
- 2nd at Hands of love community secondary School –Namadhi ( the Teenagers section).
- 3rd at Hands of love Orphanage & International School- Kiteezi- Kampala.
- 4th at Kampala International Christian Centre (KICC) on the Administration block.
At both orphanages, we have 996 children- these are great leaders that must be protected at all costs.
At KICC, we have an average of 300 Children that show up every Sunday to be equipped in the Word of God, this is on top of the over 1000 people every week and the 10 workers daily in the administration block.
